FAQ

  • Yes. Diesel heaters can often be retrofitted into existing caravans and campers, depending on the available space, layout, cabinetry, underfloor access and where the heater needs to vent.

The best first step is to bring the van or camper in so we can check the layout and recommend the most suitable install position.

  • Absolutely. What better time to service the caravan than when you’re parked-up? You’ll just need to get the all-clear from the caravan park to ensure we can service your van onsite.

  • Yes. TTCSM can inspect and repair cable systems on pop-top caravans and campers. These systems help raise and support the roof, and when they stretch, fray, jam or fail, the roof can become difficult or unsafe to operate.

We can check the cable system, identify what has failed, and carry out the required repair or replacement work.

  • By phone (0412 759 864) is usually best, however you can always get in touch via email (contact@ttcsm.com.au) or Facebook Messenger if you prefer (https://www.facebook.com/ttcsm.adelaide).

  • Yes. TTCSM offers hub drum machining for trailers and caravans. This can help restore a smoother braking surface when the drum is worn, scored, uneven or affected by brake wear.

  • We service the Greater Adelaide Area, including the Adelaide Hills, the Barossa, and all the way down to Port Noarlunga. If you live further south, we can put you in touch with a trustworthy provider nearby.

  • We ask that your trailer or caravan is positioned in a location where all sides are easily accessible, with at least 2 metres of clearance on each side. This allows our team to safely access and service all parts of your trailer or caravan.

We kindly ask that you have this set up the day before your booking, as we may be running ahead of schedule and arrive earlier than expected.

  • Many variables can negatively impact fuel efficiency when towing. It could be that your brakes need adjusting, bearings need replacing, or that you simply need to redistribute the weight on your tow-ball.

We’ll thoroughly inspect all systems on your caravan or trailer to find the root cause of your problem, and make the necessary adjustments to have you towing efficiently again.

  • While routine checks and minor maintenance can be handled at home, knowing when to seek professional help is essential for safety, compliance, and performance. If you're ever in doubt about a repair, it’s always best to consult an expert.
