Brakes: Electric and Mechanical
Brakes are a critical, yet commonly overlooked safety feature on trailers and caravans. Over time, they can wear out or become misaligned - leading to poor performance and greater wear on your vehicle. Poor trailer braking is not only a hazard to you and your cargo, but can also lead to damaging other components (such as wheel bearings or axles).

We also offer hub drum machining where suitable. If your drums are scored, uneven or causing poor brake contact, machining may help restore a cleaner braking surface. If the drum is too worn or damaged, we’ll recommend replacement instead.

TTCSM can supply and fit Cruisemaster braking products for compatible caravans and trailers. This is especially important where the caravan was built with Cruisemaster running gear and requires the correct replacement braking components rather than generic alternatives.
Wheel Bearing Inspection and Replacement
Wheel bearings allow the wheels to rotate smoothly, reducing friction and preventing wear. Worn or damaged bearings will lead to poor towing performance, and potentially wheel lock-ups or, in severe cases, cause the wheel to detach from the trailer. Diesel heater installations are generally best handled in the workshop so the fitment can be completed cleanly and safely.
